This past Saturday was a great day of learning for our Robotics Team. GCDS joined Greenwich Academy and Long Ridge School at a Robotics Tournament hosted by Hackley School.
Using robots they had designed, built, and coded, our students competed with the other teams in both an autonomous round where the robots are pre-programmed and a driver-controlled round. The experience combined intellectual challenge with the wonderful enthusiasm of a good sporting event. Sportsmanship, collaboration, learning from one another and students from other schools—all these were highlights. One of our students won first place in the driver-controlled round, and everyone came away excited to keep improving their robots for future competitions. Enjoy this short video!
