GCDS Maker Faire 2017

Tuesday was an exciting day on campus as GCDS hosted its first-ever Maker Faire. This event attracted over 100 educators from around the area, from both public and independent schools, in an effort to gather like-minded educators on the forefront of the "Maker Movement."

After a keynote address from Sylvia Martinez, who is considered a pioneer in the movement, teachers led workshops and hands-on, shared demonstrations of how we continue to inspire our students to become creative problem solvers. The day was fascinating and once again cemented our school's position as a leader in educational thinking.

We hope this short video gives you a taste of the day!
